#38 Henninger's Tavern

Henninger's Tavern is nestled among the row homes in Upper Fells Point.  Baltimore Magazine refers to it as one of "Baltimore's most romantic destinations," serving "French-influenced dishes like fried oysters in Pernod sauce and shellfish with linguine."

You enter into the bar of the restaurant with the dining room which Baltimore Magazine describes as "Baltimore's version of the Round Table Room at the Algonquin," off to the left.  We however, dined outside at one of the few tables they have set up on the sidewalk - the weather was perfect, which just added to the experience!  Henninger's  does not take reservations, but even though we dined on Friday (they are closed on Mondays), this did not present a problem!

Service was great.  We were seated right away, and well taken care of throughout the meal.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entree, and although no one had room for dessert, the dessert menu was tempting!

Fried Oyster Sandwich

Mahi Mahi Filet

Broiled Whole Fish

12oz Center Cut Pork Chop

Up next is #37, Clementine, in Hamilton Hills.
